London's new Design Museum remodels landmark Commonwealth Institute building

After five years of construction, London’s Design Museum is set to open in its new home in Kensington. The institution is housed within a landmark listed building, the former Commonwealth Institute, that dates back to the 1960s.
The museum’s interiors have been remodelled by John Pawson, while other big names — including OMA — have restored the structure’s distinctive façade and roof canopy.

The new Design Museum opens to the public on November 24, 2016
Join the Design Museum as it reopens its doors in a stunning new home in Kensington, west London. Weekend Open takes place from 25 - 27 November and features free workshops, installations, talks and performances for all ages.
