Made in Macao at Edinburgh Fringe Festival
Made in Macao makes its premiere at Edinburgh Fringe Festival this month with three original works featuring dance, theatre, music, new circus, site specific pieces and Chinese Ink Art. Point View Art Association, an exceptional and artistically diverse theatre company from Macao, premieres three original works at the Edinburgh C Venues, which houses some of the Fringe's most exciting works from across the globe. A sensory portfolio of work accessible to all audiences, “Made in Macao” made its premiere at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe on July 30 2014 for a limited 4-week run (performances run up to 25 August). The series features the UK-Premiere of Playing Landscape, a multimedia performance combining theatre, dance and Chinese Ink Art. Recipient of the Mindelact International Theatre Homage Award from the Presidency of Cape Verde in 2013 and part of the 2012 European Capital of Culture programming stream, this internationally acclaimed piece is joined by the UK-Premiere of Puzzle the Puzzle, a site-specific object and movement theatre piece nominated for the Taishin Arts Award of Taiwan in 2007, and the European-Premiere of Picnic in the Cemetery, an instrumental cabaret for piano and strings by Njo Kong Kie, long-serving music director of Montreal's celebrated La La La Human Steps.Similar content
