[Museum Jobs] New Hong Kong visual arts and culture museum

West Kowloon Cultural District Authority The Hong Kong West Kowloon Cultural District Authority welcomes exceptional talents with a passion to realize the dream of making the West Kowloon Cultural District the prime international and local destination for arts, culture and entertainment. M+, the new museum for Visual Art and Culture in Hong Kong, scheduled to open in 2017, will over the coming years build a world class collection of Contemporary Art, Design, Architecture as well as Film, Video and New Media and is currently recruiting the following positions to join our Authority.

Deadline April 20th 2012

1) Curator

Will be responsible for:
  • developing exhibitions and other projects with the focus on Asian contemporary art including Chinese contemporary art, Ink Art, or Art from Hong Kong;
  •  contributing to the development of a collection strategy and acquisition program in the field of Visual Art;
  • contributing to the general development of the future M+, including the different stages of the program and design of the museum building.

2) Curator

Will be responsible for:
  • developing exhibitions, screenings and other projects with the focus on Hong Kong, Chinese and Asian Moving Image – Film, Television, Video and various forms of Digital Media;
  • developing the collection strategy and lead the acquisition program in the field of Moving Image;
  • contributing to the general development of the future M+, including the different stages of the program and design of the museum building.
