Museum Training School | London
The British Council and University College London (UCL) have joined together to launch the Museum Training School. As museums and galleries around the world are experiencing unprecedented growth and rapid change, these changes accelerate the need to train a new generation of museum leaders.
Applications are invited for the Museum Training School 2014, four separate courses held over a Summer School (August 4-29) in London - deadline: 18 May 2014
The mission of the Museum Training School is to provide arts and heritage professionals from around the world with the skills and knowledge necessary to increase the sustainability and growth of museums and galleries.
The synergy of the British Council and UCL provides a unique learning experience with an international approach and outlook. The alumni of the Museum Training School will join a global network of museum and gallery leaders.
The 2014 Summer School will take place in London, home to many of the world’s top museums and art galleries.
The Summer School offers four stand-alone courses that can be taken alone or in sequence:- How to build local, national and international partnerships (4-8 August)
- How to develop exhibitions (11-15 August)
- How to develop school and learning programmes (18-22 August)
- How to develop community engagement programmes (25-29 August)
