National Museum of Singapore Director awarded knighthood

The Director of the National Museum of Singapore, Ms Lee Chor Lin, was awarded the knighthood of the Order of the Star of Italy (Ordine della Stella d’Italia) by the Republic of Italy, for her contributions in promoting Italian culture and arts in Singapore.

Some highlights include FELLINI! A Complete Retrospective (Apr –May 2010) where the museum screened films like La Dolce Vita by the great Federico Fellini, and the showcasing of the destruction that Mount Vesuvius laid onto the city of Pompeii: Life in a Roman Town 79CE (Oct 2010 – Jan 2011).
