Out of Asia season | Sadler's Wells London

None This autumn, Sadler's Wells in London presents a collection of dance works from across Asia. The Out of Asia season brings together artists from China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Japan and Taiwan. Watch this video – Out of Asia: the future of contemporary dance? A short film with interviews with Alistair Spalding and Akram Khan discussing the importance of dance in the East. The performances in the Out of Asia season are programmed throughout September, October, November - see schedule for details. On 8 September at 18.15h, a Pre-Show Director’s Conversation - Out of Asia takes place: Alistair Spalding, Chief Executive and Artistic Director of Sadler's Wells in conversation with Professor Chris Bannerman on the Out of Asia Season; discussing the significance of programming work from the East and the ever increasing impact such work has on the dance sector.
