Pakistani artist wins UK award

Pakistani artist, Aisha Khalid's book project “Name, Class, Subject” was awarded the 2010 Birgit Skiold Memorial Trust Artist Book Award at the London Artist's Book Fair, held at the White chapel Art Gallery.

 The prize was judged by Richard Prince, Head, Modern British Collections; Elizabeth James, Documentation Manager, The National Art Library at the V&A; Gill Saunders, Curator of Prints at the V&A and Trust representatives Marc Balakjian and Victoria Bartlett. Name, Subject, Class by Aisha Khalid will become part of the National Art Library at the V&A, London.
