Paris-Delhi-Bombay | Centre Pompidou | exhibition

None Paris-Delhi-Bombay at the Centre Pompidou in Paris is the first exhibition of its kind in the French capital. It invites people to discover contemporary Indian society through a body of work generated by both Indian and French artists. The show's ambition is to build networks and create an ongoing cultural dialogue between the two countries. Alain Seban, President of the Centre Pompidou, cites that the exhibition resulted from years of collaborative efforts that were made possible by the positive effects of globalization. Inspired by the Paris-New York and Paris-Berlin series of exhibitions in the 1970's, Paris-Delhi-Bombay questions Paris as a western art capital in relationship to the emerging Indian art scene. To Seban, the future of French contemporary art lies within a global network that understands the importance of local culture. Source: Centre Pompidou. Image courtesy of Centre Pompidou.
