Paris | Guimet x China 2024: 60 years of China–France diplomatic relations
In 2024, the Guimet Museum in Paris celebrates China on the occasion of the Franco-Chinese Year of Cultural Tourism and the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
During Guimet x China 2024 there are four exhibitions and installations, as well as a cultural programme at the auditorium, which can be visited until March 2025. Events include:
- Exhibition of the work of T'ang Haywen, a Chinese artist living in Paris from 1948, who mixed influences from the Asian tradition of monochrome ink and the Western influence of colour
- Installation by Chinese artist Jiang Qiong Er, drawing on Chinese artistic sources interpreted by artificial intelligence to build a bridge between China and France
- A talk on the future of museums from Franco-Chinese perspectives
- Performances, cinema, workshops and more
