These pictures are from a senior residence's 18th century building situated in the center of Brussels. Its long history creates a poetic atmosphere that will soon disappear. Mosaics, old tiles floor, wooden staircases will vanish with the premise's complete refurbishing according to new European's rules.

I spent a year, catching small details, feelings and also portraying the inhabitants who keep this all together in a subtle harmony. They invited me to follow them in their lifetime journey, their memories (war, immigration, etc). These diptychs witness my feelings when being in this place, with those people, at this time of their lives. They also tell us how in Europe elderly people live. They don’ stay with their family, they live in residence.
