Pannawat Muangmoon, ChiangMai University

This body of photographic work was taken during my workshop with Foundry Photojournalism Workshops 2012 Chiangmai, Thailand.
It depicts the lives of Japanese residents moving to a habitant to Chiangmai, Thailand due to many critical problems in Japan.

Chiangmai is another charming city where Japanese people desire to travel in order to avoid those social problems in their country such as elderly problems, high cost of living expense, and natural disaster.

"Long Stay" is a part of Thai Government's traveling policy which allows travelers to stay legally more than three years in Thailand. This traveling campaign also intended to increase tourism in the country.

Moreover, most of Japanese travelers have a good impression toward Chiangmai City, admiring that Chiangmai is one of the most pleasant city in Thailand. Thus, this is another small interesting aspects of our country.
