Short Films Focus | Vientianale 3

After a hiatus in 2012, the 3rd Vientianale returns to Laos this month. The event will take place in the capital town of Vientiane from 26th February to 2nd March, 2013. The programme will include a wide range of films from Laos and abroad, as well as special screenings and workshops for students and those interested in learning more about film making. Various upcoming Lao bands will perform at the Festival party! The special focus of Vientianale 3 is its Short Films Competition, with the theme 'Dreams'. The festival jury has shortlisted 28 films in this category which will be shown on the last day of the festival at the National Circus. According to the organizers, this event is a community led festival that promises to be a memorable cultural event that aims to entertain as well as educate audiences about the potential richness and diversity of Lao film culture by providing a wide range of films.
