Singapore Digital Art Weeks 2013

None In its 7th edition, the ETH Zurich-based festival Digital Arts Weeks International (DAW) comes to the Lion City to explore the crossroads between arts, science and technology. This year, the festival focuses on 'a culture of sustainability' as its general theme, applied to the context of Singapore. Consisting of symposia, workshops, exhibitions and cultural events, the program showcases the relationship between the arts and the sciences, offering a unique opportunity to witness science with fancy and art with facts. Festival highlights include the Sustainability Symposium at the ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands, the Innovations Forum – where artists meet scientists at the Singapore-ETH Centre for Global Environmental Sustainability (SEC), Windows Zoos & Views, the premier Augmented Reality exhibition in Singapore and the exhibition EarthCells at Japan Creative Center. Additional events at local hotspots such as IARC, Night&Day Gallery, Your Mother Gallery, Esplanade invite all to discover a few of the most vibrant places of Singapore’s local arts scene. This year’s edition of the DAW is hosted by Singapore-ETH Centre and supported by Presence Switzerland, Swiss Art Council, swissnex Singapore, ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands, Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur, Singapore Polytechnic, ETH Zurich, Canadian Arts Council and others.   The festival information can be found at www.digitalartweeks.ethz.ch.
