Spain | RYOMA Quartet | concert tour
As part of the Spain-Japan Year 2013-14, the Japanese musicians RYOMA QUARTET, who combine contemporary and traditional Japanese music, make a concert tour in Spain with performances in Madrid, Santander and Bilbao (22-25 March 2014). Ryoma Quartet defines itself as a "classical and modern" group, in that it combines professional musicians who work actively as much in traditional as in contemporary pop music. The four group members got together in 2008, sharing the same desire to connect and create links between people through music, to communicate the beauty and richness of traditional Japanese musical instruments and to try to show the world a new vision of a musical form, while remaining faithful to its Japanese roots. The instruments played by the group are traditional Japanese percussion, the shinobue (Japanese flute), shamisen (Japanese lute) and violin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=WXPbbqUSBRw Read more about the Spain-Japan Year 2013-14: 22 de marzo de 2014 21:00h Madrid Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid Calle Alcalá 42, 28014 Madrid http://www.circulobellasartes.com 24 de marzo de 2014 20:30h Santander Teatro de la Caja Cantabria Calle de Tantín, 25, 39001 Santander, Cantabria http://obrasocial.cajacantabria.com/cultura/artes-escenic 25 de marzo de 2014 19:00h Bilbao Auditorio del Museo Guggenheim Avenida Abandoibarra, 2 48009 Bilbao http://www.guggenheim-bilbao.es/actividades/concierto-celebrando-japon-2Similar content
