V&A International Training Courses 1 V&A International Training Courses 2 The Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London, United Kingdom, an ASEMUS member, will host two international training courses next November, the application period for which is now open. The V&A's week-long intensive courses enable museum professionals from other countries to work with V&A colleagues and peers on specific aspects of museum practice. Courses are led by V&A experts and include both talks and hands-on workshops. Participants will be invited to share examples of projects from their institutions that they could develop during and after the course.

International Training Course: "Creating Innovative Learning Programmes"

The annual course on "Creating Innovative Learning Programmes" is a unique training opportunity for museum professionals from overseas who are interested in attracting and programming for a range of museum audiences.
The course presents a comprehensive insight into museum learning programmes. Participants will learn how to develop programmes for a wide range of specific audiences, from children, young people and schools, through to in-depth courses for adults. They will also learn about developing interpretation and visitor research. The next edition of this course will be held between 14 and 18 November, and applications should be sent by 9 September. A brochure and application form are available on the course's website.

International Training Course: "Curating Fashion and Dress"

Following the success of the 2015 exhibition ‘Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty’ at the V&A, this course is intended for museum professionals that are interested in harnessing the V&A’s extensive knowledge and expertise to develop their own fashion and dress curation skills and enhance their collections. Participants will be able to join like-minded peers from around the world in London to learn about everything from collecting to conserving fashion while enjoying access to one of the world's largest and most comprehensive collections. This training course will take place between 21 and 25 November 2016. Applications should be sent by 16 September (note revised deadline). A brochure is available here and the application form can be downloaded here.   For additional information about the V&A's international training courses, please visit http://www.vam.ac.uk/info/international-training-courses
