We Are Museums 2017 | Latvia
The 2017 edition of We Are Museums, an international event at the intersection of culture an innovation, will be held in Riga, Latvia, on 12-14 June 2017.
20 ASEMUS members and website users have the possibility of registering at a discounted rate, on a first-come, first-served basis.
We Are Museums 2017 aims to gather an active and creative community of professionals who meet, exchange and build together to open art institutions to the people. Participants will be able to share the latest trends and good practices in the museum world, with some of the best and most forward-thinking institutions in the world.
This will be the fifth edition of the We Are Museums conference, following previous events in Vilnius, Warsaw, Berlin and Bucharest. From 2013 to 2016, We Are Museums grew its yearly attendance from 100 to 350 participants and has added new services and events to become a European and global platform for museums and the whole cultural ecosystem.
The programme of We Are Museums 2017 includes 20 talks and 3 workshops, involving over 40 speakers. Among the confirmed speakers are the following:
