2020 Villa Saigon France-Viet Nam artistic residency programmes calls

The French Institute in Viet Nam (Institut Français du Vietnam) is pleased to announce the launch of the open call for the 2020 Villa Saigon / Reciprocity program (open to Vietnamese artists to travel to France).  Calls are also open for French artists (and artists residing in France for at least 5 years) for two programmes in Viet Nam: Villa Saigon 2020 and the new programme A.Farm x Villa Saigon. 

APPLICATION DEADLINE: 3rd of MAY 2019

Villa Saigon / Reciprocity programme (for Vietnamese artists to travel to France): 

The call is open to Vietnamese artists of all arts disciplines, speaking either French or English, who have an artistic project they would like to develop in France. The programme is organised in partnership with l’Institut français de Paris, artists are hosted for 3 month residencies at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris.

Villa Saigon residency programme 2020

Open to French artists and artists of all artistic disciplines residing in France, the Villa Saigon in Viet Nam offers residencies (for 12 individual artists or collectives) for the creative development of a project in Viet Nam. Residencies last 1-3 months.

A.Farm x Villa Saigon programme 2020

L’Institut français du Vietnam is working with A.Farm, a new talent incubator space piloted by Nguyen Art Foundation, together with art centres Mot+++ and Sàn Art, to offer a new programme open to individual French visual artists who wish to develop an artistic project in Viet Nam, in the framework of a residency. The A.Farm space was formerly a perfume factory and is reinventing itself through a hybrid art and ideas initiative, connected to the local and international community.
