The academy exists since 1991. It provides education in the following professional disciplines:

• Film director
• Screenwriter
• Cameraman
• Film editor
• Sound engineer
• Cinema and television film production manager

Condition of acceptance for the academy is a positive result from a qualifying conversation.
Learning proceeds in three modes: daytime, evening and extramural mode.
