Alliance Francaise Auditorium

The auditorium of the French Alliance of Bangkok has become over time a landmark of cultural life in Bangkok. Listed in most cultural guidebooks, this space (housing 225 seats) was conceived to welcome projects of all kinds. Besides its films programme, the auditorium also receives short and long films, concerts, theater, dance, seminars.

Alliance Française Bangkok, an association created under Thai law in 1912, has the mandate to teach the French language and to promote francophone cultures. In addition to providing French courses, Alliance Française provides lessons in Thai and Spanish, with the aim of reaching out to the broader public. It also has a Centre of International Art offering a wide range of courses in decorative arts, fashion design, dance and music.
