Alliance Francaise de Dhaka

Alliance Francaise de Dhaka (AFD) runs different cultural and educational activities. Their main focus is French language and courses, which are offered to both adults and children as part of the CEFR and Cadre européen commun de référence pour les langues (CECR).

The organisation’s main function is to promote the French culture, especially the French language to the local people and at the same time, to promote the local culture in France. Alliance Francaise de Dhaka also offers courses and workshops, such as art, interior design, fashion design, video/cinema, dance, musical instrument, theatre and photography. Other activities include film festivals and exhibitions at their two gallery spaces. The AFD also has a multimedia resource center and a library.
