Baan Hollanda is an information centre on the history of Dutch-Thai relations. Opened in 2013, the centre was built with funds graciously donated by Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands and the Dutch government. Baan Hollanda is situated on the site of the Dutch East India Company's (VOC) trading office, which operated between the 17th and 18th centuries. The trade relations between the VOC and Ayutthaya marked the beginning of over 400 years of relations between Thailand and the Netherlands. The permanent exhibition aims to tell visitors of the significance of the VOC, how the Dutch lived, worked and interacted with Siamese society and the court in Ayutthaya. Permanent collections include:

• Copies of 17th and 18th-century European maps
• Replicas of objects found in the archaeological excavations, e.g. coins and ceramics
• Replicas of 17th-century utensils such as glassware, stationaries and a telescope.
