Bambu Stage

Bambu Stage is a platform for performing arts in Cambodia — a performance venue with daily shows, a workshop space for Cambodian puppeteers, and a gathering space for artists and art lovers. They operate as a social enterprise and collaborate closely with NGOs, other social enterprises and ethical businesses in the community.

They have 2 key priorities: Firstly, to change perceptions about the history, culture, and issues that affect Cambodia because when we are more informed, we become better travellers; secondly, to nurture local talent in professional, technical, and artistic collaboration. Their artists are performers also undergo training in set design, lighting, sound, stage management, costume design, arts management, marketing and promotion.Ultimately, their goal is to contribute to the sustainable arts sector in Cambodia and create an environment for artists and art entrepreneurs to thrive.
