The Best in Heritage is an international, annual survey of award-winning museum, heritage and conservation projects. Presenting examples of excellence in the field of museums and heritage, this downloadable publication features projects presented at the international conference held in September 2014 in Dubrovnik.

More than 20 projects from the world, proclaimed the best in the previous year on national or international level, are invited to an annual conference to present their success stories. In brief, we display and celebrate excellence from the field of museums and heritage. The conference takes place at the end of each September in Dubrovnik, UNESCO World heritage site.

The 2014 winning project presentation, voted by conference delegates, was Museum aan de Stroom, Antwerp (Belgium) - see top picture.

The conference was started in 2002 by European Heritage Association from Zagreb, which still supports the event. The 2014 conference was organised in partnership with Europa Nostra and under special patronage of ICOM. The City of Dubrovnik reconfirmed its role as a perfect host, both due to the enchanting atmosphere of UNESCO world heritage site and local support of the City and of Dubrovnik Museums.
