Biju Pattanaik Film And Television Institute Of Orissa (Bpftio)

With the approval of MHRD, Government of India and Government of Orissa An Autonomous Institute Film & Television Institute was created in 1998, carving the above 3 diploma courses from BOSE, Cuttack. Industries Department vide Notification No.11721/I/Dt.26.05.2001 renamed “Film & Television Institute of Orissa as Biju Pattanaik Film & Television Institute of Orissa, Cuttack.

BPFTIO has some of the most advanced and sophisticated equipments in the Eastern Region and all the three disciplines are headed by experienced faculties who have graduated from FTII, Pune. Ten batches of students in Cinematography, seven batches both in Sound & TV. Engineering and Film & Video Editing have successfully completed their course till date. Almost all the diploma holders of the institute have found gainful employment in Government and Private sector, Media channels, Television & Film industry.
