British Arts Festival Association

The British Arts Festivals Association (BAFA) is the leading network and development agency for UK arts festivals and its membership includes a broad variety of organisations across the UK of all types and sizes, ranging from the BBC Proms to Ventnor Fringe, St Andrews Voices to Between The Trees.  

BAFA is a vibrant membership organisation founded in 1970, and their members include a range of genres including performing arts, literature, music, visual arts and outdoor arts. BAFA interacts with its members and the arts festivals sector through direct support, facilitating member interaction, online webinars and in-person meetings. BAFA continues to lobby for the sector, in partnership with organisations across the UK and Europe including Creative Industries Federation, sister organisations AFO and AIF, the European Festivals Association and Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe.
