British Council Australia

Founded in 1934, the British Council is the United Kingdom’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities. They create international opportunities for the people of the UK and other countries and build trust between them worldwide.

They are a global organisation with more than 190 offices in 110 countries and territories. Since 1947, they have been working to build mutually beneficial and lasting relationships between the future leaders of Australia, the UK, our East Asian region, and the world. In Australia, their initiatives cross the areas of arts and creative industries, education, science, innovation and climate change.

As part of a network of 12 countries in East Asia, they are continuing to expand the international dimension of their projects and work strategically with partners from the UK and across the region.
