Brunei Museum's Department

The Brunei Museum was established in 1965, with its first administrative office at the Civic Centre in Bandar Brunei, now known as Bandar Seri Begawan.

Its mission is to protect and preserve the national and cultural heritage for educational encouragement. It also aims in stimulating public interest, love and appreciation of the heritage with the provision of efficient and quality services. It aims to promote research and stimulate interest in the rich cultural and natural heritage of Brunei Darussalam. To protect and conserve this cultural and natural heritage. The Brunei Museum Department has been a member to several international organisations with the objective of introducing and expose Brunei Museums internationally.
