Czech Philharmonic Orchestra

Soon after the founding of Czech Philharmonic Orchestra – Česká filharmonie in 1896, the Czech Philharmonic became the most noteworthy orchestra in the country. Over the course of its more than 120 year history, the orchestra has fostered numerous significant personalities among its ranks.

The Czech Philharmonic is an orchestra with more than 120 players. Their mastery of their instruments goes hand in hand with the ability to contribute their skills towards the ensemble’s unified, inimitable sound. The uniqueness of the Czech Philharmonic is created by each musician, each instrument, and each note they play together with the persona of the principal conductor. The Czech Philharmonic takes a keen interest in educating up-and-coming generations of young musicians, many of whom may, in the future, ascend to its ranks.
