Czech Society for Film Studies (CEFS)

Czech Society for Film Studies (CEFS) is a civic association of scholars, pedagogues, students, archivists, critics and creators in the field of film and audio-visual media, which have main goal to help its members with their professional needs. Some of activities of the association are running web pages, publishing the journal, awarding achievers and hosting conferences.

Society was found in June 2008, election for the Board of CEFS was held in May 2010, when its activity became. Founding organizations are departments of film and audio-visual studies in Czech Republic (in Prague, Brno and Olomouc) and National Film Archive.
