Danish Cultural Institute in Belgium

The Danish Cultural Institute in Belgium is an independent institution established in 1940, under the Danish Ministery of Culture. From years of experience, the staff of the Danish Cultural Institute Benelux has gained a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of other countries and has developed strong cultural networks.

The Brussels based Danish Cultural Institute promotes intercultural understanding and facilitates professional exchange in the fields of arts and culture between Denmark and Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Germany. In particular, they strive to create and maintain long-term networks and cooperation between Denmark and the countries they operate in. Their activities are diverse – from concerts to exhibitions, conferences to field trips, to theatre, film, dance, and in some countries Danish courses. They also organise exchanges and residencies for artists and authors.
