Emotionfilm

Emotionfilm was founded by Danijel Hočevar and Damjan Kozole in 1986 as part of the ŠKUC  film department (student cultural centre) in Ljubljana. It became an independent company in 1991. It was one of the first independent film productions in Slovenia and ex Yugoslavia.

Emotionfilm productions have been screened around the world and received numerous international awards.  Its credits include: "Idle Running" (1999) by Janez Burger, "Porno Film" (2000) by Damjan Kozole, "Loners" (2000) by David Ondriček, "Bread and Milk" (2001) by Jan Cvitkovič, ,"Spare Parts" (2003) by Damjan Kozole, "Beneath Her Window" (2003) by Metod Pevec, "Ruins"(2004) by Janez Burger, "Suburbs" (2004) by Vinko Moederndorfer, How I Killed a Saint (2004) by Teona Strugar Mitevska, “Labour Equals Freedom” (2005) by Damian Kozole and “Estrellita” (2007) by Metod Pevec.

In 1994, Danijel and Damjan also founded Vertigo as a sister company to Emotionfilm. More than 25 films have been made under both productions. Danijel Hočevar, producer of Emotionfilm has been selected among "Variety's Ten Producers to Watch" in 2001 and is a member of The European Film Academy.
