Erich Pommer Institut

The Erich Pommer Institut was founded in 1998. It is a center for media law, media management, and media research. As an independent institute, the center’s studies follow the process of media convergence through research, advanced training, and consultation with focus in film, television, music, games, and mobile media.

The institute operates as a think tank, where creative solutions are developed scientifically for media management, media policy, and media education, with the phenomenon of media convergence in mind. The institute cultivates diverse contacts and promotes constant exchange between participants. Companies in the media industry and public institutions support the Erich Pommer Institute. Cooperating partners and a high-ranking advisory board oversee and consult regarding its activities.
