Estonian Filmmakers' Union

Established in 1962, the Estonian Filmmakers’ Union is a non-profit organization and a creative union of professional Estonian filmmakers. There are 160 members in the Union and they represent different professions in filmmaking – screenwriters, directors, producers, cinematographers, actors, art directors, editors, gaffers etc. The organization is run by a Board of Directors that consists of seven members

Every year the EFU organizes the Estonian Film Days (EFD) a national film festival that has been held since 1998 and during which a selection of films produced in Estonia during the previous year are screened. The jury awards a prize to the best fiction film, documentary, animation and student film. In addition, each member of the jury gives a special award.
