eX Art Foundation

eX Art Foundation (or eXAF) is a contemporary art and cultural management NGO, founded in 2008 in Sofia, Bulgaria. They conduct the creative realisation of debut artists’ visual projects and work to achieve meaningful communication between modern audiences and the art scene. eXAF focus on presenting diverse, innovative, experimental artistic concepts, while also introducing to the modern individual the peculiarities of old traditions in the field of socio-cultural creation, developed for the current context.

In practical terms, the activity of eXAF includes organising exhibitions of visual artists, multi-genre public art projects; artistic competitions, open call projects, short-term art residences; creative workshops for children and adults; lectures and public discussions. eXAF carries out most of the projects in collaborative relationship with other Bulgarian and foreign cultural organisations, educational institutions and diplomatic missions.
