Fine Arts Department

The department is responsible for arts and culture in various fields including: archeology, Museum of Music and Dramatic architecture, craftsmanship, history, documents and books on education, arts and culture.

The musicians and dancers of the Fine Arts Department give regular public performances at the National Theatre and elsewhere on special occasions, and also undertake overseas tours, often under the name "the Royal Thai Classical Dance Troupe". Their extensive classical repertoire coverts the Thai court dances Khon and lakhon fai nai, along with northern-style court origins such as lakhon nok and lakhon nora, and they also perform many different folk performance styles from different regions.
