Finnish Institute in Japan
The Finnish Institute in Japan promotes cooperation in science, higher education, art and culture between Finland and Japan. It encourages bilateral joint projects and supports mobility of researchers, students and artists.
The Institute's strategy has committed to the principles of education and cultural export. Usually its role is that of a co-producer, providing its Finnish and Japanese partners consultation and communication services. The Finnish Institute in Japan is situated in Tokyo, in the same building as the Embassy of Finland. It was founded in 1998 and is maintained by the Foundation of the Finnish Institute in Japan.
