Gallery Rudolfinum

As an exhibition institution without a permanent collection (of Kunsthalle type), Galerie Rudolfinum focuses primarily on the presentation of contemporary international and Czech art

The long-term goal of Galerie Rudolfinum is to build an open communication space not just for exhibitions, and offer active publishing, educational programmes for schools and the public, host of lectures, seminars, theatre, music, and more. The gallery shares its mission with Artpark, an independent educational centre whose programming reflects ongoing exhibitions, aims to bring contemporary art closer, especially to children and youth, but also to adults.

Galerie Rudolfinum was founded in 1994 as a state institution within the Czech Philharmonic. The two institutions share the landmark building of the Rudolfinum in Prague. The gallery is an independent cost centre of the Czech Philharmonic and falls under the department of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
