The National Stage of Contemporary Dance

The National Stage of Contemporary Dance (Dansens Hus), is the main venue in Norway for dance. It is a programming stage, hosting national and international professional companies. Dansens Hus is a national meeting place for dance artists, companies and their audiences by presenting contemporary dance of high quality.

Dansens Hus is an open and integrating meeting point for different cultures and generations. The programme presents a wide range of different forms of expression, and ranges from major international performances, new and established Norwegian choreographers, workshops, seminars, hip-hop and street-dance sessions and tango evenings. Dansens Hus opened in 2008 and contains two stages. It is situated in a rebuilt factory building along the river Akerselva in Grünerløkka.
