Institute Of Mass Media

The Institute is in charge of training young journalists. It offers short term courses for around 100 students, either university graduates or those who already work for the State media. The Institute has four sections: Radio, Television, Printed Media, and Administration. Seven teachers and trainers are working at the Institute. Sometimes, there are also cooperation programs with the Asian Institute for Broadcasting Development in Kuala Lumpur and with the University of Montreal. The Institute is not yet sufficiently equipped and is seeking donation of video cameras, tape recorders and LCD screens at the moment.
