Jerwood Charitable Foundation

The Jerwood Charitable Foundation (JCF) is dedicated to imaginative and responsible funding of the arts, with a particular focus on supporting emerging talent and excellence. Its funding aims are to allow artists and arts organisations to thrive; to continue to develop their skills, imagination and creativity with integrity. The foundation spends around £1.5m a year, and is active in identifying and creating new project across all art forms.

The foundation past funding programme includes the Jerwood/Artangel Open that was a £1million commissioning initiative which supported four major projects over five years. The final project in the series was Clio Barnard’s first feature-length film The Arbor.
