Works by Viet Linh, or these of Dang Nhat Minh and Tran Anh Hung have gained the international recognition that these deserve. But this recognition should not hide the rest of the national cinematography - be it from the classical cinematography or dynamic and modern films. Whatever these films belong to; the Vietnamese Heritage, or to the upcoming generation of young filmmakers, these films are not distributed.
It is the purpose of this book to highlight the Vientamese cinema in general.

The book comes together with a DVD of some 2 hours of interviews with French and English subtitles
