ligeti center

As a new institution in Hamburg, the ligeti center wants to build a bridge between art, science and innovation.

The ligeti center was founded as a joint project by the Hamburg University of Music and Theater (HfMT), the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW) and the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE). The ligeti center 's projects are divided into two large clusters: The first cluster represents the transfer of ideas, knowledge and technology, the second, the Music and Health Cluster, explores the therapeutic potential of music and sound, for example in the form of sound installations to counteract stress in the healthcare system.

The ligeti center offers an interdisciplinary platform for working on important future topics. Collaboration between different disciplines is the core of their approach to finding innovative solutions to the great challenges of our time. Their goal is to develop transdisciplinary projects that can be used in society and the economy.
