Lithuanian Youth Centre

The Lithuanian Youth Centre is the organizer of the Vilnius International Film Festival for Children and Youth. The 2006 festival edition, which ran for its third edition consisted of three special programmes. One of them was a competition programme judged by two different age groups of children’s jury and an adult’s jury. For the second time, the organizers have invited professional cinema critics as jury members.

The aim of these events is to give the children an opportunity to express their opinions about cinema created for them. The other two programmes of the Festival were The Films for Youths and The Best German Films for children presented by the Goethe’s Institute.

“Club of Young Cinema Critic’s” ran throughout the  festival. Children viewed films then shared their thoughts and impressions experienced at the years’ festival.
