Muzium Warisan Melayu, or the Malay Heritage Museum, is a museum inside a public university (Universiti Putra Malaysia, UPM), which focuses on collecting artifacts of the Malay heritage, especially from Peninsular Malaysia. Collections of the Malay Heritage Museum include textiles and costumes, manuscripts, weaponry and household items. Part of the outdoor exhibition also includes a collection of traditional Malay houses which were dismantled and reassembled from their original locations in different regions of Peninsular Malaysia. As part of a public university, the Malay Heritage Museum welcomes students and researchers to study its collection and expand knowledge about Malay heritage. Permanent collections:

• Outdoor exhibit: four traditional Malay houses, from the states of Negeri Sembilan, Perak, Terengganu and Pahang.
• Indoor exhibit: Istinggar (Malay matchlok), keris (Malay dagger) of different types, Lela (Malay brass cannon), limar cloth (Malay woven textile) of different types, Malay batik of different types, traditional Malay accessories and jewelleries made of gold, silver and brass. European and Chinese ceramic made specifically for the Malay market, silvercraft and silverwares particularly from the state of Kelantan.
