Musica Viva

Founded in 1945, Musica Viva is Australia's oldest independent professional performing arts organisation. As an independent not-for-profit arts organisation, Musica Viva relies on the essential support of donors, funding partners, government support, corporate partners, and the many volunteers who freely give their time. They are committed to:

  • live music performances of quality, diversity, challenge and joy;
  • the unique intimacy of small musical ensembles; and
  • life-long engagement with music.

Musica Viva shares the delights of chamber music with audiences throughout Australia, presenting over 2,000 concerts in capital cities, regional communities and schools per year - not to mention the national and international artists they support throughout their vast range of programmes.
