National Circus School of Cambodia

The National Circus School of Cambodia was managed by the Ministry of Culture and Art from 1980, before management of the school was transferred to the Royal University of Fine Arts – Choreographic Arts in 1990. It was reported that the Russian and Vietnamese government provided their support in training and infrastructure development, so it is much influenced by Western styles. Recently, the orientation has turned a strong interest to add Cambodian taste into their circus performance by integrating clothes and music, to stay connected to their Cambodian identity.
