National Film Archive and Video Center

The National Film Archive and Video Center is the only government institution in charge of cinema-related affairs and is under the Ministry of Information and Culture. Its main task is to preserve film heritage and make it accessible to the public. It occasionally produces documentary films with the sponsorship of the government on important occasions like International summits and Party Congresses. The Archive is using two air conditioned storage rooms in its premises and has a collection of 20 000 reels. The cataloguing of the collection is on process with the support of UNESCO.
