Pioneer Entertainment (USA) Inc. is a full service producer and distributor of software for home entertainment including film, music, animation and television shows on VHS and DVD. A wholly-owned subsidiary of Pioneer Corporation, Pioneer Entertainment (PEA) began in 1987 as Pioneer LDCA, which was established to provide software for the laser disc market. Since its inception, the company's strategy has been to identify marketing opportunities in a variety of specialized areas with titles marketed under five separate programming labels: Pioneer Animation, Pioneer Artists, Pioneer Classics, Pioneer Films and Pioneer Special Interest.

Pioneer Entertainment (PEA) has forged a strategic relationship with Regent Entertainment to bring its collection of high-quality films to the home viewing audience. Offerings include independent films, films with limited theatrical release and event television movies. Among the recent introductions are Free Enterprise starring William Shatner and Britannic, the story of Titanic's sister ship which shared the famed ocean liner's fate. In addition to the Regent Entertainment titles, the Pioneer Films label also includes classic pictures and collections such as the special edition DVD of Rambling Rose and a box set of John Cassavetes films including Killing of a Chinese Bookie and Woman Under the Influence.
