Queensland School of Film and Television

Established in 1992, Queensland School of Film and Television (QSFT) is Queensland's longest operating film school. In its 19 year history, QSFT has helped launch the careers of countless film industry professionals.

As a small boutique facility, QSFT pride's itself on professionalism and the personal attention devoted to all students. Courses cover all technical disciplines of filmmaking, specialising in the behind-the-scenes aspects of film and television and have established links with the local industry.

With industry based lecturers, students at QSFT are provided with up-to-date training and have opportunities to develop the relationship networks that are crucial to launching a career in the industry.

QSFT courses are flexible, so students are able to undergo study while maintaining a balanced work and family life. Small class sizes mean each student gets personal, hands-on training. QSFT courses also provide university articulation.

The school is located near Queensland's capital city Brisbane, a friendly river-side city with a population of 1.25 million. Its people enjoy a clean, safe environment, warm temperate climate and a relaxed lifestyle envied the world over.

Living in Brisbane has many advantages including a thriving arts and cultural scene, award-winning restaurants, first class sporting facilities, low cost of living and proximity to world-class beaches and international resorts.  The school is a short drive to the brand new Queensland Tennis Centre (Pat Rafter Arena), a state of the art Tennis facility hosting international competitions annually.

Attracting students from around the world and throughout Australia, QSFT offers competitive tuition rates and film course structures to rival film schools in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Hobart.
