Slovak Philharmonic

The Slovak Philharmonic was established in 1949. The orchestra has made numerous recordings for radio, television and the music publishers. The Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra regularly gives guest performances on leading European stages and festivals, as well as in Cyprus, Turkey, and the USA, and they regularly have concert tours in Japan, South Korea, Oman and United Arab Emirates.

The Slovak Philharmonic:

  • develops national musical culture and presents it in the Slovak Republic and abroad
  • artistically prepares and publicly presents compositions of Slovak and international music
  • has activities in the fields of mediation, publishing and promotion
  • has other important cultural activities
